The Review of “Hostel”

The film centers around two students traveling around Europe. It turns out they were hunted by a mysterious group that likes to torture and kill backpackers. They are not necessarily kidnapped but are subtly trapped. Initially, they had a traveling companion who suddenly disappeared. The girl they met and had a relationship with turned out to be part of the mysterious group. In the end, the two students were subjected to brutal torture.

This film is a picture of the classic horror gore of the 70s and 80s. Although considered to have a weak plot, brutal film lovers will be quite “entertained” to see the work of director Eli Roth. He had previously produced the horror film Cabin Fever (2002) which received severe criticism and was considered a total failure. Although his horror film is considered not good enough, he once produced a very good film called Inglorious Basterds (2009).
